Our 1st Anniversary Trip !

Brandon wisked me away as a surprise for our 1st Anniversary - we stayed at The FarmHouse Inn which was a fancy B&B that had a simple elegance about it, and amazing food grown locally. Ahhh I'll never forget what a special weekend it was remembering and reflecting on what a big year it has been. I'm so blessed by my husband day after day. What a joy it is to be married!

10 months

I haven't written a blog entry since we were married! So hopefully i'll have more to come on that! As we are approaching our 10 month wedding anniversary, a friend of mine, Marlene, inspired us to try for a monthly honeymoon trip and by golly, i think we have done it!  here's the recap:
October - wine country in Sonoma at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn (our minimoon)
November - Thanksgiving in Pleasanton with the Hann Family (ok...this one is a stretch, but it sure was fun!)
December - Alabama for Julie's graduation (roll tide!) and back again for Heather and Tyler's wedding; LA for christmas
January - Sandpoint, ID for the long weekend AND Ojai for Erica and Greg's wedding
February and March- an amazing 2 week adventure throughout Thailand and Cambodia
April - no where together, but we make up for it in May!!
May - Adam and Jamie's washington D.C. confirmation and orthodox wedding; Stephanie and Jonathan's chicago wedding and last but not least, Amanda and Ryan's santa barbara wedding
June - NYC for mariana and chris, and LA for the wedding at the end of the month
July - Tahoe with the six pack for Tiff's birthday
August - Tahoe for Kim and AJ's wedding
September - 3 weddings!! Livermore (Matt and Amy), Yorba Linda (Monica and Scott) and Nevada City (Karla and Andrew)
October - Connecticut for Dave and Victoria's wedding
Wow what a year of many nuptials for our very dear friends! We are honored you included us in your special plans, we love you!!!

Three more days!

I received a joyful phone call from my mom this morning at 7am shouting "three more days, only three more days!" You see, three, is her favorite number. I do think there is something magical about these last three days. The tasks are nearly complete, the guests are just beginning to arrive and the energy and excitement is in the air.  Thanks Mom for that uplifting reminder!

Spin Girls

I have a group of girlfriends, aka "the spin girls", who i have gone to the gym with for the past two years. Every Tuesday we meet for coffee at Peet's on Chestnut street and gab about our happiness and struggles.  They have seen me through the entire romance with the Prince, literally from day 1! I still remember the days at Peets coffee when I was gushing over this new dream man....almost not believing it was possible!  Now in celebration of our upcoming wedding, they treated me to a fabulous lunch at Neiman Marcus Rotunda room and we were able to reflect on how lucky we are as friends.  I am amazed and blessed by these wonderful women!!!

Marriage License in hand!

Its official, we've taken a trip to City Hall and we are prepared for October 23rd. This was an especially fun experience for us because of all the press around San Francisco city hall.  Thankfully, there were no crazy lines or protests or rallys on our appointment day.  The prince's was more inthralled with changing his voter registration address (those of you who know him well know why), but I was having a ball taking in the surroundings and excitement in the air! 

Is this how a bride is supposed to feel?

Ha ha just kidding...yep this was the beginning of my up-do for the wedding.  The incredible Megan Hann of Salon H in Danville will be doing my hair on the wedding day. She has assembled a fabulous team of stylists and makeup artists to pamper the moms and bridesmaids. With my fine hair we may have a challenge ahead to keep the hair looking "done" all day...but if anyone can do it, Megan can!
